Clive Purdy joined Atherton Bailey in October 2005 and was appointed a partner in January 2006 responsible for managing the Southend-on-Sea office.
Clive qualified as a Chartered Accountant after leaving university, working for several Essex-based practices and latterly as a partner in a local office of Tenon. Qualifiying for an insolvency licence in 1996, Clive left Tenon in 2001 to join the Leigh-on-Sea general accountancy practice of DeVines Accountants as a director.
Clive's range of skills outside of mainstream insolvency means he is able to offer advice on the tax aspects of insolvency procedures. He helps investigate and restore companies' accounting records and assists in obtaining tax refunds that otherwise may be lost.
In his spare time Clive has a keen interest in cricket and football as well as the theatre. He is a governor of the Plume School, a specialist performing arts college.
