Malcolm Fillmore is the senior partner at Atherton Bailey. A Chartered Accountant, Malcolm's professional career has been devoted to providing corporate recovery and insolvency services. For many years in senior positions at Touche Ross (now Deloitte), he set up the predecessor firm to Atherton Bailey in 1994.
Malcolm has been at the forefront of the evolution of the profession since it was regulated in 1986. He was a council member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association from 1992 until 2005.
The Insider's Guide to Corporate Rescue has previously said of Malcolm: "Too many insolvency practitioners are wham bam, but he'll think deeply about the problem and come up with a practical solution."
In his other life, Malcolm was for eight years chairman of the world's largest historical and enthusiasts' aviation society Air-Britain. He remains heavily involved in its affairs, particularly its renowned publishing arm. Malcolm owns a vast library of aviation books and periodicals and specialises in aviation in the 1920s and 1930s. He is editor of a number of published books on that era. Malcolm's interest and knowledge of aviation has helped him restructure a number of airlines and aviation businesses over the years.
