Mark Riley heads up the firm's Guildford office. Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1979, Mark specialises in helping SMEs and owner-managed businesses, particularly family-owned businesses, with corporate recovery. He also advises partnerships, professional practices and individual partners on insolvency issues.
Mark says his favourite client feedback is: "Mr Riley, please don't take this the wrong way - but I hope I never see you again."
Mark was an early member of the Turnaround Management Association which promotes high standards and practices in turnaround management. Keen to resolve disputes by negotiation rather than confrontation, Mark is a Chartered Arbitrator. He is also a registered Expert with the Academy of Experts and regularly appears in Court as an expert witness.
Married with two sons, in his spare time Mark is a governor of a local junior school. He also sits on a regulatory committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
