Malcolm Fillmore is the senior founding partner of Atherton Bailey. A Chartered Accountant, the whole of his professional career has been devoted to providing corporate recovery and insolvency services. For many years in senior positions at Touche Ross (now Deloittes), he set up a predecessor firm to Atherton Bailey in 1994.
Malcolm was a council member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association from 1992 until 2005, and has been at the forefront of the evolution of the profession since it became regulated in 1986.
In 2000, The Insider's Guide to Corporate Rescue said of Malcolm: "Too many insolvency practitioners are wham bam, but he'll think deeply about the problem and come up with a practical solution."
In his other life, Malcolm is chairman of the world's largest historical and enthusiasts' aviation society Air-Britain. His knowledge of aviation matters extends into his professional life where he has helped restructure airlines and other aviation businesses.
