Expert witness services

As a long-established practitioner well-known throughout the insolvency profession, Malcolm Fillmore has been asked on several occasions to act as expert witness in legal cases involving disputes within an insolvency administration. This has included reviewing a substantial claim in a scheme of arrangement where a creditor and the practitioner could not reach an agreement but agreed to abide by an independent review. This saved an expensive legal trial. On another occasion it was a dispute between two insolvency practitioners. Sometimes this role leads to a Court appearance as an independent expert witness to assist in determining a benchmark against which the Court may judge the conduct of the parties.
